The PL Team had a great week at Lexington National!

Savannah Shaver was champion with Bon Temps in the Children’s Hunters & won the Gittings medal as well as being awarded Best Child Rider!! Congratulations Savannah! Brett also scored 🥉rd place with Turtle in the performance hunters during the week.
Irene Boehm showed Svengali to a top 10 finish in the VHSA Junior equitation Finals. Great Job, Irene! Irene also had speedy rounds on Pablo in the jumpers.

Christine Nagin rode Over Achiever to a 🥉 place in the Low Hunters early in the week and finished the week with nice rides in the adult hunters.
Brett and Merlino PL earned top prizes in the 3’3” green hunters and rode to a 9th place finish in the National Derby.

We had a spectacular week in Princeton!!

Christine Nagin & Over Achiever – Reserve Champion Adult Hunter!
Irene Boehm & Svengali – Champion 15-17 Equitation, 3rd in the Hamel, 4th in the Maclay, 5th in the Dover, 4th in the Jumping Seat and Hunt Seat Medals.

Irene and Pablo were awarded the Children’s Style of riding Award in the jumper ring!

Merlino PL & Brett were Champion in the 3’3” Green Hunters, 10th in the National Derby and Brett was awarded the Style of Riding Award!!

Special thank you to the management and staff at Princeton and of course a huge thank you to the whole PL team. It take a a village!! 🤍🤍🤍

Loudoun Benefit was a huge success! A special thank you to the team that makes it possible- Sue & Victor are the best!!!

Our weekend finished up with some big wins!!

Savannah Shaver and Bon Temps 🥇 WON 🥇 the combined Children’s Hunter classic
as well as winning a children’s hunter class! She was also 5th and 3rd u/s. Congrats Savannah🎊

Irene Boehm jumped a speedy double clear with Pablo for 6th in the Low Children’s Jumper Classic!! Irene also showed Svengali to 4th and 6th in the Junior Hunters and 5th in the VHSA Medal.

Kate Chan had beautiful rounds in the Low Adult Hunters, earning 7th over fences in a hugely competitive division.

Christine Nagin and Over Achiever had great rounds in the Adult Hunters.

The PL family supported each other and had a great week!! We are a lucky group! 🤍🤍🤍

Mid week update from Loudoun Benefit 😍

Kathryn Harrell’s Sassoon was Champion in the 2’6” USHJA and Reserve Champion in the 2’9” USHJA hunters, with Brett in the irons. He is currently offered for sale!

Kate Chan rode her own, My Type, to 🥈place over fences in a huge group of 2’6” USHJA hunters! He was also 5th with Brett on Wednesday.

Savannah Shaver and Bon Temps started their week with a WIN in the VHSA, 🥉in the Gittings, and 🥈 and 6th in the younger Children’s.

Irene Boehm started her week with a 🥉 in the NCEA and a 5th over fences in the 3’3” older junior hunters.

Our week under the oaks at Upperville finished with great results!! Savannah Shaver and Bon Temps were 🥉 and 6th in the younger children’s hunters as well as 💗5th 💗 in the combined Children’s Hunter Classic!! Irene Boehm and Svengali were 🥉 in the VHSA Junior Medal & 4th in a large 3’3” Junior hunter class!! Huge congratulations to everyone who competed this week!! Next up, Loudoun Benefit!!

Mid-Week update from Upperville!! Christine Nagin and Over Achiever had a great day in the Adult Amateurs! They were 🥉🥉 over fences, 6th u/s and 10th in the combined Adult Classic! Irene Boehm and Svengali were 6th in the Local Hunter Handy, their first outing together!! Merlino PL finished out his week with fantastic rounds in the 3’3” greens! All rounds scoring in the 80’s amongst top competitors! Good luck to everyone this weekend!!

Day 1 at Upperville was a huge Success!! Savannah Shaver’s Bon Temps earned a 4th place over fences in section B of the Local Hunters with Brett in the irons. Irene Boehm’s Svengali jumped beautifully with Brett, earning a score of 84 in the Upperville 3’3”! The horses are happy and relaxed. On to day 2!
