Back in Virginia after 6 Weeks in Florida

Now that we are safely back in Virginia after 6 weeks in Florida, I want to take a moment to talk about the team! None of this is possible without our amazing team. I want to wholeheartedly every one of you who contributes to our success.

Special mention to Victor Piña, who kept the horses and Farm at home in top shape while we went to Florida. Also to Taylor O’Connor who joined us this season teaching while Brett traveled south.

Thank you to Sue Jarboe, who kept us laughing and smiling through the chaos that was winter circuit.

Thank you to our fantastic customers for their support and trust.

And thank you to our vets, farriers, braiders, and therapy specialists who keep our horses happy and healthy.

It is with great pleasure and excitement that we congratulate Grace and Rachel Holt on their new partnership with ‘My Type’! Bowie will be missed by the PL family, but we are thrilled that he found such a loving new home!

the Hamel Equitation Championship

This week we tackled age group equitation and the Hamel Equitation Championship at the National Horse Show. Irene set this championship as a target when we started working together in May. After a summer of hard work, she rode beautifully and completed technical courses. Congratulations, Irene. It was a year of growth. We can’t wait to attack next years goals with you and Sven! We are going to KY! Huge congratulations to Irene Boehm for her 3rd place finish in tonight’s Hamel Regional Championship! This win punched her ticket to go to the National Horse Show for Hamel Finals!!

Today’s Horsewoman Podcast

Brett Shear-Heyman, Horsewoman Brett is active in the sales community and enjoys developing horses into competitors. She takes pride in finding each client their perfect horse and will guide clients through the buying process. The very first step to success in the sport is a proper pairing and Brett stays connected to her network of professionals around the country to source the best inventory of horses for anyone on the hunt.

Brett believes in constant education within the sport. She continues to cultivate skills and experiences by regularly working with other professionals to both train horses in her program as well as collaborate to learn new techniques to share with her clients. She is devoted and detailed.
